Good Morning to all reps,

Please review the memo below from Assurant. This applies to Loss drafts, SAM REO inspections. Please note that if you see building permits posted at a loss draft, the client requires a photo.

Give me or Ami a call if you have any questions.

Tks Dwain

We appreciate your time in the field completing our inspections with the highest quality. In an effort to adhere to our clients’ requirements we ask that you review, disburse, and follow this important information regarding:

Appointment Dates are required for SAM REO, Insurance Loss & Drive By Insurance Loss inspections.

Appointment Dates for ALL Inspections in InField Express

We have seen a dramatic increase in SAM REO and Drive By inspection completions without a date entered in the “Appointment Date” field. Our clients require to be kept up to date throughout the entire life of an order, and therefore they need to know when an inspection is scheduled to take place for all inspections, whether the homeowner must be contacted for an appointment or not. The “Appointment Date” field is critical as we compile reports based on this field, and if empty, that particular order will not be accounted for and the client will be made to believe that the order is not progressing.

SAM REO & Drive By Inspections

Please ensure that the following requirements are being met for these two inspection services:

· DO NOT contact the homeowner in either of these inspections.

· DO provide an ETA within 2 business days of order receipt for when you plan to perform the service – enter this date in the “Appointment Date” field.

· DO adjust/update the “Appointment Date” field if that ETA will not be met.

· DO deliver your results within 1 business day of the inspection date (Appointment Date) to ensure compliance.

· Since these inspections don’t require scheduling an appointment with a 3rd party they should never be delayed.

Building Permits

Effective immediately, please instruct all field inspectors to photograph any building or other type of permit posted at the property. There is no need to ask for this information from the homeowner or contractor, but simply photograph any visible permit while on site.
