Dear Vendors,
Regarding the Occupancy Verification Label, please ensure your teams understand the variation below.
If a property has a locked gate and the vendor is not able to physically get to the door of the house, the vendor should make every effort to place the label on the gate, chain, lock, etc. that would require breaking the label (seal) if someone entered the property through the gate. Below are some examples of where the label may be attached to determine if property get accessed before vendor returns for the next inspection. No two properties are the same, so the logic solution at one property may be different than others.
The vendor must make Altisource aware of any variations to the standard process. In this example, the vendor should provide details as to “why” they were not able to put label on the door and where the label was installed.
